Since the founding of Williams and Associates by David E. Williams in 1989 the company has consulted with both corporate and political clients including the campaign committee for Presidents Rupiah Banda (Zambia), Ali Bongo Ondimba (Gabon), Governor William F. Weld (R MA), GTE/Sylvania, Hydro-Quebec, the National Association of Government Employees, the Providence Journal-Bulletin, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Harvard University (Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study), the  US Agency for International Development, and the United States Department of State.

Mr. Williams has served as an IRI opinion research consultant since 1997 and in that time has supervised well over one hundred separate international survey projects in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cuba, Gabon, Guinea, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Macedonia, Madagascar, Malaysia, Niger, Pakistan, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Turkey, Thailand, Ukraine, the Palestinian territories of the West Bank and Gaza, and Zambia.

 Mr. Williams has appeared as a political analyst and commentator on several radio and television stations including WLNE in Providence, RI, the New England Cable News Network (NECN), WGBH Boston (PBS), WGBH radio’s The World co-produced by the BBC World Service and Public Radio International (PRI), and Al Jazeera.

Mr. Williams began his career in public opinion research at Cambridge Survey Research in 1979 leaving as a senior vice president at Cambridge Reports Incorporated in 1989. Prior to that Mr. Williams served as a campaign aide to US Senator Edward W. Brooke (MA).
